Molly Duncan

Biological Technician

Molly has been a part of the Current team since Summer 2021. She has recently moved to Victoria where she is operating a Current satellite office. Prior to Current, Molly graduated from the University of Guelph with a B.Sc. Honours degree in Environmental Biology where she completed her thesis project investigating the effects of pesticides on the feeding rate of water fleas and the impact to the marine food web .


Molly has worked throughout Vancouver Island for government agencies, private clients, and environmental non-profit organizations in aquatic and terrestrial ecosystem conservation and restoration. Molly's expertise includes stream stabilization and riparian areas enhancement techniques, construction monitoring in sensitive habitats, water quality monitoring, fish habitat samplings, habitat inventory and assessments, GIS mapping, and working with community and stream enhancement groups.


In her spare time, you can find Molly hiking throughout the island, up the mountain skiing, lacing up the skates in the hockey arena, or out walking her two pups.
